Happy Sunday, Bob!

You know that saying "I don't fail; I learn"? That's something that has always resonated with me. As someone who was born "different" [how many 10 year olds do you know who have had brain surgery?], I always felt like I needed to impress others. Always be the best. Always be perfect.

Failure wasn't an option.

Making mistakes were worse than physical pain. The shame I would feel was palpable.

So I've been working really hard to rewire this default setting: to recognize that failure is a key part of the growth process. In fact, one of the key phrases I heard recently was "every time I fail, my potential doubles".

I don't know about you, Bob, but that hit home.

So today's song is called "Failing Up". I hope it gives you a positive reset in time for kicking off the new week tomorrow. You know... if time is still a construct that you use ;)
