"We live in a world where we are constantly being told who we are", Emma G explains. "And even worse - we're valued by those descriptions. I wrote Every Little Bit because I waned to challenge those perceived values - remind the world that, despite whatever labels we're given, wrongs that we've committed, or - heaven forbid - if our very IDENTITY is perceived as immoral... I want to remind people that they're still worthy of love".

Initially, the song was written purely from the perspective of a woman [Emma G] to a man, but while on tour around the United States in 2019, Emma G changed one of the choruses to be towards a woman instead.

"I remember kind of just losing it", laughs percussionist Joey J Drums. "This country is so divided at the moment, and there is STILL so much division around the LGBTQ community - I LOVE that Emma G wanted to tackle that issue head on by changing just one word in 50% of the choruses".

Of course, in true Emma G empowerment style, however, the song clearly turns into a self proclamation of love - acknowledging that she, too, is also worthy of every little bit of love, respect and value.
